With this extension, you retain access to the latest vehicle software, new diagnostic features, and essential system updates provided by Autel.
Without an active license, you lose the ability to install new software updates, which limits compatibility with the newest vehicle models. After the update period expires, the diagnostic device will continue to function with the last installed software version. However, online functions such as programming and coding, as well as access to new service functions and extensive vehicle coverage, will be discontinued until the license is renewed.

How does it work in practice?
Activating the software extension is done through a simple and largely automated process.
- Place the order and enter the serial number of your Autel diagnostic device in the remarks field in the shopping cart.
- After receiving the order, the update license will be digitally processed and linked to the serial number you provided within 24 hours.
- Ensure your Autel MaxiSys MS909EV is connected to a stable wifi network.
- Open the Update application on the device. The new software updates are now available to download and install.
- After installation, the new expiration date of the license is visible in the device settings.
Serial number information
For correct processing of the software extension, it is essential that you provide the correct serial number of your device. This number consists of 12 characters.
The serial number can be found in one of the following locations. Make sure to copy this number correctly and enter it in the remarks field during the ordering process.
- Device: The number is listed on the sticker on the back of the MaxiSys tablet.
- Settings menu: Navigate in the software to Settings and then to About. Here the device’s serial number is displayed.
- Packaging box: The serial number can also be found on a sticker on the original product packaging.
