The MS906 Pro is built around a fast 8-inch HD touchscreen tablet, equipped with a Qualcomm 660 octa-core processor and Android 10, ensuring quick load times, smooth navigation, and stable performance – even with complex vehicles and heavy software modules.

Wireless communication with the vehicle is carried out via the supplied MaxiVCI V200, which supports modern protocols such as CAN-FD and DoIP, ensuring compatibility with the latest vehicle models. The device comes standard with two years of free software updates, giving users access to the most current vehicle coverage, features, and improvements. After this period, the system continues to operate on the last installed version, but a annual license is required for access to new updates and online functionality.

• AutoVIN / ScanVIN: Automatically recognizes the vehicle via the VIN number, or scans the VIN directly with the 16 MP camera on the front. This quickly and accurately identifies the vehicle for automatic system selection.
• Live datastream: Displays real-time data from modules and sensors in text view, digital graphs, or as a analog gauge. This allows trends or anomalies to be quickly detected and recorded.
• Pre- and post-scan reports: Generates professional reports of the vehicle condition before and after repair, including fault codes, module status, and workshop summary. The reports are suitable for customers, insurers, and documentation.

Maintenance and service functions:

• Offline coding: Provides extensive offline coding functions for brands such as BMW (supporting both E- and F-series), requiring no internet connection or factory server for standard adjustments.

• Autel Cloud Report Management: Pre-scan and post-scan reports are automatically saved in the Autel Cloud, allowing users easy access to a complete archive of performed diagnostics. Reports are linked to vehicle and customer information and can be consulted or shared again at any time.
• Easy sharing: Diagnostic reports can be shared directly from the tablet via QR code, email or SMS. This enables quick communication with customers or colleagues, without the intervention of external devices or software.
• Remote Expert (future service): In future updates, the system will support Autel Remote Expert – a cloud-based service that allows technicians to get help from certified experts for complex diagnostics, programming or coding. Remote support takes place remotely, directly via the device.

• Support for CAN-FD & DoIP: Thanks to the MaxiVCI V200, the MS906 Pro supports the latest communication protocols such as CAN-FD and DoIP. This makes the system fully compatible with modern vehicle platforms from, among others, GM, Ford, BMW, Volvo and Land Rover.
• FCA AutoAuth access: Provides authorized access to the Secure Gateway (SGW) of vehicles from Fiat, Chrysler, Alfa Romeo and Jeep. This allows diagnostics and service tasks to be performed without restrictions. A valid AutoAuth account is required for use.
• OBFCM / APK2 suitability: Supports reading On-Board Fuel Consumption Monitoring (OBFCM) data. This feature is required for APK2 inspections and makes it possible to correctly record and report the fuel and/or energy consumption of vehicles according to the requirements of, among others, the RDW.

Optional expansions and modules:

• ADAS calibration: Fully compatible with Autel’s ADAS calibration frames. This allows driver assistance systems such as Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, and front cameras to be accurately calibrated after replacement or realignment. Requires additional hardware and ADAS software license.
• Battery analysis (BT506): Supports connection with the Autel MaxiBAS BT506 Battery tester, which enables extensive tests on the Battery, the starting circuit, and the charging system. Measures among others voltage, internal resistance, and remaining capacity.

After the first year, the license can be renewed for an annual fee. The device remains fully functional for already supported models, even without license renewal. However, new software updates can no longer be installed, and some online features may be limited or no longer supported.
