Without an active license, the diagnostic device continues to operate based on the last installed software version. However, access to new system updates and online functions is blocked. How does it work in practice?
The activation of your software extension is entirely digital. Follow the steps below for correct processing:
- Place the order for the software extension via the webshop.
- Enter the serial number of your Autel device in the remarks field during checkout.
- After receiving your order, the license will be processed automatically and digitally within 24 hours.
- Ensure your diagnostic device is connected to a stable wifi network.
- Navigate to the update menu on the device to download and install the newly available software updates.
Serial number information
Providing the correct serial number is necessary for a quick and error-free activation of the license. Without the serial number, the update cannot be linked to your device.
The serial number of your Autel device consists of 12 characters and can be found in one of the following locations. Enter this number in the remarks field of your order.
- Device: On the sticker on the back of the casing.
- Settings menu: Via the 'Settings' > 'About' or 'My Device' menu on the device itself.
- Packaging box: On the barcode sticker on the outside of the original packaging.
