However, online functions may be limited or completely disabled after the license period expires.

How does it work in practice?
Activating the update license is a simple and automated process. Follow the steps below to equip your diagnostic device with the latest software.
- Place the order for the software extension through the webshop.
- Enter the serial number of your Autel diagnostic device in the remarks field during checkout.
- The license will be automatically processed and linked to your device by Autel within 24 hours after the order.
- Connect your diagnostic device to a stable wifi network and navigate to the update menu to download the available software updates.
Serial number information
For activation, the correct serial number of your device is required. The serial number usually consists of 12 characters. Make sure to copy this number accurately and enter it in the remarks field of your order.
You can find the serial number in the following locations:
- Back of the device: The serial number is printed on a sticker on the casing of the diagnostic device.
- Settings menu: Navigate in the system to ‘Settings’ and then to ‘About’ to view the device information, including the serial number.
- Original packaging box: The serial number is often also found on a sticker on the outside of the original box.
