The Autel MaxiDas DS808K update licence extends your right to software updates for the DS808K by one year. The DS808K is the kit version of the DS808, a wired diagnostic tablet with coverage of more than 80 brands. The device reads and clears codes, displays live data, carries out active tests and performs adaptations and matching.
For the workshop, this concerns the service procedures and the brand coverage, which are updated with each update. We assign the licence to the serial number of the tablet, usually within one working day. Nothing is sent by post. Afterwards, the DS808K continues to work on the last installed version.

Applications and functionality
On the DS808K, you will notice an update in two places: in the list of brands and models, and in the service functions menu. Below, you can read what you gain and what happens if you stop.
What a renewal gives you
- Brand coverage: New models and model years are added to the existing brands.
- Service functions: Oil service reset, replacing brake pads on an electric parking brake, steering angle sensor learning, battery registration and DPF regeneration follow the manufacturers' changes.
- Adaptations: Learning and matching procedures for replaced components are updated.
What happens without renewal
- Update menu: No new versions will appear.
- Newer cars: Models released after your last update may not be recognised.
- Daily diagnostics: Reading and clearing codes and live data on already supported cars continue to work.

How does it work in practice?
An extension is arranged in four steps. You only need to provide the serial number.
- Provide serial number: When ordering, state the serial number of the DS808K tablet.
- Activation: We link the licence to that serial number, usually within one working day.
- Prepare the device: Charge the DS808K and connect it to a stable Wi-Fi network.
- Install updates: Select the new versions in the update menu and start the installation.
