The Ancel BST600 is a battery tester designed for analyzing 12V and 24V lead acid batteries and the associated starting and charging systems. The tester measures various parameters, including voltage, internal resistance, and Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) to provide an assessment of the battery's condition. This model is equipped with an integrated thermal printer for direct printing of test reports.
In addition to the standard battery test, the BST600 offers functions for a complete system analysis. It performs a starting test (cranking test) to measure the minimum starting voltage and a charging test to check the output of the alternator under various loads. The results, such as the State of Health (SOH) and State of Charge (SOC), are displayed on the color screen. Reverse polarity protection ensures safe operation.
Application and functionality:
The Ancel BST600 is designed to perform diagnostic tests on the electrical system of vehicles.
- Battery test: Analyzes the overall condition of the battery by measuring the actual CCA value, internal resistance, voltage, SOH (State of Health), and SOC (State of Charge).
- Starting test: Evaluates the starting system by monitoring the starting voltage and start time during engine cranking. This provides insight into the performance of the starter motor and battery under load.
- Charging test: Checks the operation of the charging system (alternator) by measuring voltage without load, with load, and the ripple voltage. This helps identify problems with the alternator or voltage regulator.
- Integrated thermal printer: Enables direct printing of test results. This is useful for documenting maintenance or handing over a report to a customer.
- Data storage: The tester can save the results of the last test so they can be reviewed later.
- Reverse polarity protection: The device and the battery are protected against damage if the clamps are connected incorrectly.
