The Ancel BST100 is a battery tester designed for analyzing the condition of 12V lead-acid batteries. The tester operates within a working voltage range of 9V to 16V and supports a test range of 100 to 2000 CCA. The device uses the 4-wire Kelvin method for collecting test data, which is processed by a built-in processor. The results, including the state of health (SOH) and state of charge (SOC), are displayed on an LCD screen with backlighting.
In addition to the standard battery test, the BST100 offers extra diagnostic functions. It is possible to perform a start test (cranking test) and a charging system test. The device is equipped with safety features such as reverse polarity protection, overvoltage protection, and loose connection detection. The tester's interface is multilingual and supports Dutch, English, German, and French, among others.
Application and functionality:
The BST100 performs various tests to provide a complete picture of the battery and the vehicle's charging system.
- Battery test: Analyzes and displays the current voltage, internal resistance, nominal CCA value, SOH (State of Health), and SOC (State of Charge).
- Start test: Evaluates the starting voltage and cranking time of the vehicle to determine the condition of the starting system.
- Charge test: Checks the operation of the charging system, including the alternator, under loaded and unloaded conditions.
- View data: The results of the last performed test can be viewed directly on the device.
Supported battery types:
This tester is compatible with a wide range of 12V lead-acid batteries.
