The Yamaha 3-pin to 16-pin adapter cable is specifically developed to connect older Yamaha motorcycles with a 3-pin diagnostic connection to a standard OBD2 interface. This Adapter forms the physical connection between the brand-specific connector on the motorcycle and universal or brand-specific diagnostic equipment equipped with a 16-pin OBD2 plug.

This cable facilitates signal transmission from the ECU to the reading device by correctly converting the pin assignment. The system supports communication via protocols such as K-Line, allowing fault code reading and viewing of sensor values when used in combination with compatible diagnostic software and hardware.
