The OBDSTAR M075 is an adapter cable that converts a Toyota/Yanmar 6-pin OBD connector to a standard 16-pin OBD2 (J1962) connector. The cable is intended for use with combustion engines in the marine sector, specifically for Toyota and Yanmar engines equipped with a proprietary 6-pin diagnostic plug. The cable enables connection between this non-standard engine connector and OBDSTAR readers or programmers.

The M075 translates the pinout of the 6-pin Toyota/Yanmar connector to the corresponding pins of the OBD2 port, allowing the diagnostic equipment to access the engine's communication protocols. Through this connection, fault codes can be read and cleared, and engine parameters can be viewed. The cable transmits the signal without active electronics — the signal adaptation is done entirely passively via the fixed wiring of the adapter cable.
