The OBDSTAR M018A Adapter Cable is specifically developed to establish a connection between Yamaha motorcycles and compatible diagnostic equipment. This cable features a multi-connector configuration, consisting of two variants of the 3-pin connector and a 4-pin connector, converging into a standard 16-pin OBD2 female interface. The cable is designed to physically connect to the specific diagnostic ports used by Yamaha on various motorcycle and scooter models.
The adapter enables communication between the vehicle's Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and the diagnostic tester via protocols such as K-Line and CAN-bus, depending on the year and type of connector. Additionally, the cable is equipped with external power clamps to supply power to the diagnostic device if the vehicle's diagnostic port does not provide 12V voltage.
