The OBDSTAR TCM-025 adapter cable connects a 16-pin TCM connector directly to a 15-pin DB15 interface. This cable is specifically designed for accessing the ZF 8HP45 (GEN3 TC275) transmission control module (TCM), which is commonly used in passenger cars of the Jaguar brand. The wiring enables a direct physical connection between the transmission module and diagnostic or programming equipment for bench work.
Through the DB15 connection, the adapter facilitates stable signal transfer for complex programming tasks such as cloning the TCU and reading EEPROM and Flash data. The internal pin configuration is hardware-tuned to the TC275 microcontroller of the third-generation ZF 8HP45 transmissions, so the technician does not need to use loose pin connections. This eliminates the risk of short circuits or communication errors during reading, writing, or calibrating the transmission software outside the vehicle.
