The OBDSTAR TCM-024 adapter cable is designed for a direct connection to the 16-pin TCM connector (Transmission Control Module) of ZF 8HP45-90 and 8HP45 (GEN3 TC277) automatic transmissions. This adapter links the specific round transmission connector to the 15-pin DB15 port of an OBDSTAR diagnostic device or programmer. This creates a reliable physical interface for bench applications on the transmission mechatronics of various passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and sports cars.

Through the DB15 interface, the cable ensures stable transmission of CAN bus communication and the necessary power signals between the transmission module and the diagnostic hardware. The pin configuration is precisely matched to the requirements of the ZF mechatronics, guaranteeing safe communication with the TC277 chip. This allows modules to be read and programmed outside the vehicle, excluding incorrect voltage levels or signal loss.
