The OBDSTAR TCM-022 adapter cable is specifically designed to connect a Continental 6HP transmission control unit (TCM) with diagnostic and programming equipment on the workbench. The cable features a specific 16-pin round TCM connector on one end that connects directly to the transmission mechatronics, and a 15-pin DB15 connector on the other end for a stable interface connection.

This adapter facilitates direct signal transfer and power supply needed for reading, flashing, or cloning the transmission software outside the vehicle. The pinout is precisely calibrated for the 6HP architecture, ensuring a secure data connection between the TCM and OBDSTAR programmers without the need for loose wires or soldering.

Good to know: Carefully clean the contact points of the mechatronics before connecting the round connector. Oil or dirt residues on the pins can hinder data transfer during the writing process.
