The OBDSTAR M026 is a SYM 3-pin OBD to 16-pin OBD2 adapter cable that converts the proprietary 3-pin diagnostic connector found on SYM mopeds into a standard 16-pin OBD2 (J1962) port. This cable is purpose-built for use with OBDSTAR diagnostic scanners and programmers and enables diagnostics on SYM mopeds that lack a built-in OBD2 port. The 3-pin connector on the vehicle side plugs into the vehicle's proprietary diagnostic socket, while the 16-pin female connector on the other end connects to your diagnostic device.
The adapter cable translates the 3-pin signal pattern from the SYM diagnostic connector to the corresponding pin positions on the OBD2 connector, allowing your scanner to correctly interpret vehicle system diagnostic data. Through this connection, you can read and clear diagnostic trouble codes and retrieve relevant live data values from the moped's control unit. The cable performs no data processing itself—it simply provides the mechanical and electrical connection between the vehicle port and your diagnostic tool.
