The OBDSTAR M005 is an adapter cable developed for connecting diagnostic equipment to Kawasaki Motorcycles. The cable features a combined 4-pin and 6-pin connector on the vehicle side and a standard 16-pin OBD2 (female) connector on the other side. This configuration enables communication between the various electronic control units (ECUs) of the Motorcycle and a compatible diagnostic device.
This adapter is specifically designed to combine the two separate diagnostic ports used on newer Kawasaki models into a single interface. This allows a technician to access both K-Line and CAN-bus systems via a standard OBD2 scanner. It facilitates functions such as reading and clearing fault codes, viewing live data, and performing service functions on the Motorcycle.
