The OBDSTAR M039 is the diagnostic connector cable for Kawasaki jet skis. On the vehicle side, there are two separate connectors, labeled Kawasaki 1 and Kawasaki 2, both with a 4+4-pin configuration in a square housing. On the device side, the cable connects to the IMMO port of your OBDSTAR diagnostic tool.
A jet ski doesn't have a standard OBD2 connector; Kawasaki uses proprietary diagnostic ports that vary by vehicle. Because the cable features two independent branches, each connector type plugs into its correct port separately, eliminating the risk of incorrect port assignment. The connectors are equipped with a locking mechanism, which is essential during programming sessions that cannot be interrupted.
The cable unlocks the IMMO system of your jet ski: key programming, calibration, and key deletion. General OBD diagnostic functions fall outside the scope of this cable. Which IMMO operations you can perform next depends on your device's capabilities.

- IMMO control unit: the immobilizer system where the jet ski's key and transponder data are stored.
- Other systems: not via this cable; the connection is designed for IMMO work only.
What you can do
- Program keys: Add or reprogram keys in the IMMO system through the vehicle-specific connector.
- Calibrate the IMMO system: Calibrate or reinitialize the immobilizer system when replacing control components.
- Erase keys: Remove previously programmed keys from the vehicle's IMMO memory.
- Please note: which of these functions are actually available varies by model and OBDSTAR device.
