The Launch X-431 EV Kit is an expansion set with accessories for diagnosis and maintenance of electric vehicles. The set contains a wide range of EV adapter cables, battery pack test lines, and connection cables for reading and testing battery packs of various brands and models. Additionally, it includes specific connectors for Tesla, an airbag repair connector, and an OBD16 extension cable with DC power supply for extended access to the diagnostic port.

The kit works in combination with a compatible Launch X-431 diagnostic tester and the associated EV software. Via the 8PIN diagnostic connector and the supplied PAD IV adapter cables, connection is made to the vehicle's battery pack, allowing cell voltages, temperature, and the status of the Battery Management System to be read. The included power adapter (12V/4A, 48W) and region-specific power cords (UK, EU, AU, US) make it possible to power battery packs outside the vehicle during testing.
