The Jaltest JDC534A is the adapter cable that connects the 9-pin diagnostic connector of FPT engines in CNH construction equipment to a standard 16-pin OBD2-interface. The 9-pin connector belongs to engine control and is located in the engine bay, separate from the standard machine diagnostics. Since the engine comes from the FPT program, you'll find the same connector on construction machines from New Holland CE, Fiat Kobelco and Q&K.
Behind this single connector lie the FPT engine control units that Jaltest covers under IVECO-FPT: EDC 7 C1 and EDC 7 UC31, EDC 16 C39, EDC 17 CV41 + Denox 2.2 and EDC MD1 CE101, plus the AdBlue dosing system Denoxtronic 2.1. The range of functions expands with each generation: Additional functions are only available with EDC 17 CV41 + Denox 2.2 and EDC MD1 CE101, while maintenance intervals are also missing from EDC 16 C39 and EDC 7 C1. The cable falls under Jaltest OHW (Off-Highway machines).

Applications and functionality
Through this connection, you access the FPT engine control unit with Jaltest software. Jaltest classifies these control units under IVECO-FPT.
Control units you can access
- EDC 7 C1 and EDC 7 UC31 (CAN and K Line): The first common-rail generations from FPT.
- EDC 16 C39, Electronic Diesel Control, Common Rail: The intermediate generation.
- EDC 17 CV41 + Denox 2.2: The control unit with integrated exhaust aftertreatment.
- EDC MD1 CE101, Electronic Diesel Control, Common Rail: The latest generation with the most comprehensive feature set.
- Denoxtronic 2.1, Exhaust gas treatment system: The AdBlue dosing system as a separate system in the coverage.
What you can do
- Read and clear fault codes: Read the fault memory of the control unit with a description of the fault, and clear it after repair.
- View live data: The current sensor values from the control unit, with the ability to set alarm thresholds for values outside the normal range.
- Maintenance: Check the engine service intervals and record the associated work in a report. Available for models including EDC 7 UC31 (CAN), EDC 17 CV41 + Denox 2.2 and EDC MD1 CE101.
- Additional functions: The extra procedures that Jaltest offers per control unit, such as reset and calibration functions. Only for EDC 17 CV41 + Denox 2.2 and EDC MD1 CE101.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The connector type determines compatibility, not the machine model. This cable follows the FPT engine in the construction machine. Jaltest covers the following engine series for IVECO-FPT; check on-site which connector your engine has.
CNH CE and FPT:
- N-series: N45 and N67 (F4)
- F-series: F1C (F1) and F34 and F36 (F5)
- Cursor series: Cursor 8 and 9 (F2) and Cursor 10, 11, 13 and 16 (F3)
