The Jaltest JDC566.9 is the diagnostic cable for Curtis power modules in electrically powered machines; it connects the 4-pin diagnostic connector of the Curtis controller to the 26-pin DB26 port of the Jaltest Link. It is a straight cable measuring 30 cm with no enclosure and no branching: on one end the DB26 plug that connects directly into the Link, on the other end a white 4-pin connector without a locking housing. The cable carries only a CE marking.
Once the connection is established, the Jaltest software reaches the motor controller that in lift trucks, warehouse trucks and boom lifts controls the drive and lift motors. Jaltest lists these controllers in the MHE coverage as Power module (CPM), separately by series, from the 1212 through to the 1243. The cable is officially called Curtis Diagnostic Cable. For series 1212, 1232 and 1236, the coverage includes fault codes and measured values as well as parameter configuration; for the 1243 the feature set differs. The cable falls under Jaltest MHE (Material Handling Equipment).

Applications and functionality
Via this connection, you use Jaltest software to access the Curtis power module of the machine. Jaltest lists each controller series separately in the coverage.
Control units you can access
- Power module (CPM), Power module: The Curtis power module as listed by Jaltest in the coverage.
- Curtis 1212, 1220, 1228 and 1230: The series for lighter-duty drives and auxiliary functions.
- Curtis 1232, 1236 and 1243: The heavy-duty series; the 1243 has a different function set.
What you can do
- Read and clear fault codes: Read the fault memory of the power module and clear it after repair.
- View measured values: The current values from the controller's sensors and inputs.
- Configure parameters: For the 1212, 1232 and 1236 among others, reading and adjusting the configuration is covered.
- Live data monitoring: Monitor the controller values during operation in numerical and graphical format.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The controller determines compatibility, not the machine brand. This cable is for Curtis power modules with the 4-pin connection in electrically driven machines; check on site which connection your controller has.
Difference from the JDC569.9
The JDC566.9 and JDC569.9 carry the same description in Jaltest documentation, but they are two different cables. They match at both ends: machine side a 4-pin Curtis connector, interface side the 26-pin DB26 of the Link. The difference is in between. The JDC566.9 is a passive adapter cable of 30 cm with a loose white 4-pin connector. The JDC569.9 features a sealed electronics enclosure in the cable, features the marking 12/24 V ONLYand features the 4-pin connector in ablack locking connectorPosition them next to the connection on your controller: The connector shape and the presence of the housing indicate which of the two belongs with it.

- Model year not applicable: For internal transport, a mandatory diagnostic connection is not required, so this connector remains in use
