The Autel MX-Sensor 315MHz+433MHz (Rubber) is a programmable TPMS sensor designed for direct tire pressure monitoring systems. This sensor continuously measures the current tire pressure and temperature inside the tire and simultaneously supports transmission frequencies of 315 MHz and 433 MHz. This wide frequency range ensures compatibility with nearly all European, American, and Asian vehicles equipped with direct TPMS. The sensor features a rubber 'press-in' valve, facilitating installation in standard alloy and steel rims.
The technical operation of the sensor is based on collecting data via the internal pressure sensor and G-sensor, which is then sent via an RF signal to the vehicle receiver (ECU). Before installation, the sensor must be programmed with the correct vehicle protocols using a compatible Autel TPMS programmer. During this process, the sensor is assigned a unique sensor ID or the ID of the original sensor is cloned. When the original ID is successfully cloned, a learning procedure on the vehicle is often unnecessary. While driving, the G-sensor activates data transmission, allowing the vehicle to detect deviations in real time and display them on the dashboard.
ADVANTAGES
IMPORTANT NOTES
Applications and Features
This universal TPMS sensor is developed for diagnostic and tire service specialists to replace defective or outdated OEM sensors in passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.
- Tire pressure and temperature measurement: Periodically measures the current values in the tire (0 to 800 kPa) and sends this data to the vehicle, so the system immediately warns of dangerous pressure loss or overheating.
- Wireless programming: The internal firmware can be flashed wirelessly via a compatible diagnostic device, even when the sensor is already mounted in the tire and the wheel is pressurized.
- ID cloning: Copies the unique hexadecimal identification code from the read original sensor to the new sensor. The vehicle ECU thus immediately recognizes the replacement unit as the original sensor.
Special features and capabilities
The hardware of this sensor includes design features that affect the mounting process and efficiency for the technician.
- Press-in valve coupling: A mechanical push button on the sensor head allows the rubber or optional metal valve to be manually unclipped. This system simplifies switching valve types without using screws or torque settings between the sensor and the valve.
- Integrated G-sensor control: A built-in accelerometer detects wheel rotation. Once the vehicle starts moving, the G-sensor wakes the chip from power-saving sleep mode and initiates active RF data transmission, which extends the life of the 3.0V battery.
