The Topdon HD This software licence transforms your Phoenix tablet into a diagnostic reader for heavy-duty vehicles. For one year, the HD software is included, namely the diagnostic software for trucks, buses, construction and agricultural machinery and the standalone engines and ABS systems within it. Your existing device gains this capability without complete coverage incl.
This is software and no second device. The same tablet, the same interface, except that when you start up you can now also select commercial vehicles. Cars continue to work as normal via the standard automotive licence; the HD licence operates independently and has a individual validity period.

Applications and functionality
The HD software is a dedicated software package in addition to automotive software. Below is what this licence includes and what happens when it expires.
What the licence includes
- Trucks and tractors: Diagnostic software for heavy commercial vehicles from European and American manufacturers.
- Buses and coaches: A dedicated manufacturer list for passenger transport, separate from truck coverage.
- Machinery and engines: Construction and agricultural machinery, and the standalone diesel engines installed in them.
- ABS and brake systems: Brake systems from major suppliers, even when the chassis is from a different manufacturer.
What happens when the licence expires
- No more HD updates: New versions of the HD software will no longer be delivered.
- Cars remain covered: Your car licence continues as normal and operates independently.
- Latest version remains: What is installed on the device will continue to work on the vehicles it covers.
- New equipment is excluded: Models that come to market after your last HD update will no longer be added.
Compatible vehicles
The HD software covers heavy-duty vehicles including four categories. In addition to the chassis, the engines and braking systems are supported separately, so you can access them even if they come from a different supplier.
- Trucks and tractors: European and American manufacturers, including Volvo, Scania, Mercedes-Benz, MAN, Renault, Freightliner and Peterbilt
- Buses and coaches: A dedicated brand list for passenger transport, including Yutong and King Long
- Construction and agricultural machinery: Including Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, JCB, John Deere and Kubota
- Engines and braking systems: Standalone diesel engines and ABS systems from well-known suppliers
Compatible devices
The HD software works on the Phoenix models that the manufacturer has approved for it released. The licence cannot be activated on other Topdon devices.

How does it work in practice?
From order to working HD software it takes four steps. The serial number is the only thing you need to locate yourself.
- Provide serial number: When placing your order, provide the serial number of your Phoenix device; we use this to ensure the correct licence is prepared.
- Code received: You will receive the activation code by email, usually within one working day.
- Enter the code: Enter the code on the device to unlock the HD software.
- Install the software: Download the HD software via the update menu; heavy-duty vehicles will then appear in the main menu.
