The Topdon BTMobile ProS Battery Tester is a wireless diagnostic module designed for professional mechanics and diagnostic technicians. This device uses conductance measurement technology to analyze 12V vehicle batteries. The tester has an operational voltage range of 8V to 16V and a measurement range of 100 to 2000 CCA. The system supports various battery types, including regular wet lead-acid batteries, AGM (flat plate and spiral), GEL, EFB, and deep-cycle batteries.
This Bluetooth tester communicates with a smartphone or tablet via an application to process the measurement results. The available test modes include a battery test, cranking test, charging test, and a full system test. During analysis, the device reads the voltage values and calculates the internal resistance to determine the current SOH (State of Health) and SOC (State of Charge). The interpretation of the test data results in a factual assessment per battery cell and is compatible with vehicles configured according to standards such as EN, DIN, and SAE.

Applications and functionalities
The module offers various measurement protocols for diagnosing the complete electrical system of a vehicle via the application.
- Battery Test: Calculates the SOH and SOC by measuring the internal resistance and remaining starting capacity. This provides technical data on the degree of cell degradation and the current condition.
- Cranking Test (Start Test): Analyzes the condition of the starter motor. The module measures the starting voltage and reaction time during the combustion engine start to detect power loss.
- Charging Test: Checks the output voltage of the alternator. The system measures charging fluctuations at both idle and increased RPM to identify faults in voltage regulators or diodes.
- System Test: A sequential diagnosis where the battery test, start test, and charging test are performed consecutively. All measurement data is then presented in one centralized digital overview.

The tester is equipped with software features in the application focused on long-term data management and test preparation.
- Data Recording (Lifetime Data Recorder): The application automatically saves the test data of all performed measurements. This historical data can be consulted for later analysis or to monitor degradation trends in specific vehicles.
- Vehicle Database (Battery Library): An integrated reference function in the app that shows detailed information about compatible batteries. This assists the technician in entering the correct reference values prior to a battery test.
