The Jaltest WST (Wear Sensor Tester) is a diagnostic tester for checking the operation and condition of wear sensors on brake pads of commercial vehicles. This portable device is equipped with a built-in, rechargeable battery and an LCD screen that directly displays measurement values such as voltage, wear percentage, and the K-factor. The tester is designed for workshop use to verify the sensor status without the need to dismantle the wheel.
The device supports both 2-wire and 3-wire sensors and is compatible with systems from leading manufacturers. In addition to reading sensor values, the WST also checks the electrical installation between the sensor and the ECU. A two-color LED indicator (green/red) provides a quick visual indication of the sensor status. Charging of the internal battery is done via a USB connection.
Application and functionality:
The Jaltest WST is developed for the diagnosis and inspection of wear sensors on brake pads of commercial vehicles. The tester makes it possible to verify the status of the sensor and the associated installation.
- Status check: Verifies the correct operation of the wear sensor without the need for disassembly.
- Reading values: Displays the wear percentage, voltage, and K-factor of the sensor on the integrated LCD screen.
