The OBDSTAR MS80 STD update license is an annual subscription that provides access to the latest software for the device. This license activates new updates and software improvements released during the 1-year period. This keeps the functionality of the device up-to-date with the newest vehicle models and diagnostic features.
With an active license, the user retains access to all online features and the most recent vehicle coverage. After the license period expires, no new updates can be installed, which may limit compatibility with newer vehicles. Activation of the ordered update license is usually completed within 24 hours after receipt of the order and the correct serial number.

Serial number information:
The serial number of your device is required to activate the license. This number, consisting of 14 characters, must be entered in the comments field during the ordering process. The serial number can be found in the following locations:
- Device: On the sticker on the back of the device.
- Settings menu: In the main menu under the option 'Settings' or 'About'.
- Packaging box: On a label on the outside of the original packaging.
