OBDSTAR IScan | Update License
The OBDSTAR IScan update license offers an extension of the software support for the diagnostic device for a duration of 1 year. This license provides access to the latest software improvements, new vehicle models, and extended diagnostic functions released by OBDSTAR.
With an active license, the functionality of the device remains up-to-date, enabling diagnosis and programming of recent vehicles. After the license expires, the device retains its basic functions but no longer receives updates for new models or software. Activation of the update license is usually processed within 24 hours after ordering.
Applications and functionalities:
This update license activates the following features for the duration of the license period:
- Access to new software versions: Receive the latest software updates released by the manufacturer.
- Extended vehicle coverage: Adds support for recently released engine models and types.
- Enhanced diagnostic functions: Access to new and optimized diagnostic procedures and service functions.

Serial number information:
To activate the license, the serial number of your device is required. Enter the 14-character serial number during the ordering process in the designated comments field. The serial number can be found in the following locations:
- Device: On the sticker on the back of the device.
- Settings menu: In the software menu under 'Settings' or 'About this device'.
- Packaging box: On the original packaging of the device.
