The OBDSTAR M076 is the adapter cable for the proprietary 4-pin diagnostic port found on MerCruiser and VM Motori marine engines. It connects that port to the 16-pin OBD2 (J1962)-connector on your OBDSTAR diagnostic device, linking directly to the engine port on the vehicle side.
These marine engines lack a standard OBD2 port. The cable bridges the gap between the non-standard port layout and the universal OBD2 interface, allowing your device to communicate with the engine control unit (ECU) without requiring additional adapters.
The cable provides access to engine management only. Which diagnostic functions you can perform depends on your OBDSTAR device's software and the diagnostic protocol supported by the engine.
