The OBDSTAR M024 converts the 3-pin diagnostic connector on SYM motorcycles to a standard 16-pin OBD2 (J1962) connector. The 3-pin side connects to your motorcycle's factory connector, while the OBD2 side plugs into your OBDSTAR diagnostic scanner.
SYM motorcycles with this connector lack a built-in OBD2 port. The cable routes the diagnostic lines — including the K-line — to the correct pins on the OBD2 connector, allowing your scanner to properly interpret vehicle communication. No modifications to your motorcycle's wiring are needed.
The cable enables communication with your motorcycle's engine system; actual diagnostics come from the OBDSTAR motorcycle software on your device. Without that software, vehicle communication won't be established.
