The OBDSTAR M054 is the adapter cable for the 12-pin and 18-pin diagnostic connectors on Suzuki and Yamaha motorcycles. Both brand-specific plugs are located on the vehicle side; the other end features a standard 16-pin OBD2 (J1962)-connector for your diagnostic device or programmer.

The cable provides a physical bridge between the vehicle's native connection point and the OBD2 interface of your diagnostic equipment. Through the 12-pin or 18-pin connector, the relevant signal lines—including the K-line or CAN-bus, are routed to the correct pins of the 16-pin connector. This allows the device to communicate with the motorcycle's immobilizer system.

The cable is designed for immobilizer work: reading key data, programming keys, and system reset. Which of these functions are actually available depends on your OBDSTAR device and its corresponding software version.
