OBDSTAR RT100 | Key Frequency - Infrared Tester
The OBDSTAR RT100 is a key frequency and infrared tester, developed for testing the radio frequency (RF) and infrared signal (IR) of car keys and remote controls. The tester supports a frequency range of 300 Mhz to 320 Mhz, 434 Mhz, and 868 Mhz, allowing a wide range of vehicle keys to be analyzed. The measured frequency is displayed directly on the integrated 128x64 dots display.
In addition to radio frequency measurement, the RT100 is also equipped with a function to check the operation of infrared transmitters. This applies to keys that use IR technology, such as systems from brands like Mercedes-Benz. The compact and portable design makes the tester suitable for use in the workshop or on site. The device is powered by a battery, which increases flexibility when performing diagnostics.
Application and functionality:
The OBDSTAR RT100 is used for diagnosing and verifying the signals transmitted by car keys. The main functions are:
- Radio frequency (RF) testing: Detects and displays the exact transmission frequency of a car key. This helps determine whether a remote control is functioning correctly and transmitting at the correct frequency (300 Mhz - 320 Mhz, 434 Mhz, and 868 Mhz).
- Infrared (IR) signal verification: Checks the operation of the infrared transmitter in the key. An indicator on the tester lights up when a working IR signal is detected, confirming that the transmitter is functioning.
