The OBDSTAR P004 Basic Kit is an accessory kit for ECU programming and reading and writing data in bench mode. The kit includes the P004 adapter and associated jumper cables, and works with the OBDSTAR KeyMaster G3 and P50 for airbag reset and related ECU operations. The adapter keeps peripheral devices in normal communication, whether the 12V power button is on or off.
During operation, the P004 adapter connects the ECU to the diagnostic device via a DB15 connector that communicates with any OBDII-16 I/O interface. The adapter can enable or disable the 120Ω resistor for CAN bus ECUs at any time and supports simultaneous 6&14 and 3&11 CAN bus communication. Additionally, the adapter provides support for GM Single CAN (GM SCAN) and K-line communication, and functions as a diagnostic platform in combination with external equipment for ECU diagnostics or remote operations.
