OBDSTAR P004 Basic Kit | Accessories
The OBDSTAR P004 Basic Kit is a set consisting of an Adapter and a jumper cable, designed for programming and cloning various ECU types. This kit enables direct connection to the control unit in BENCH and BOOT modes. The P004 is compatible with the OBDSTAR tablet series, including the Key Master DP Plus and X300 DP Plus.
The primary function of the kit is reading and writing EEPROM and FLASH data from, among others, engine control units (ECU), transmission control units (TCU), and body control modules (BCM). With the included jumper cable, connections can be made without soldering. The Adapter allows the user to activate the ECU on the workbench and read data, even when no CANbus signal is available via the vehicle's diagnostic port.
Application and functionality:
The P004 Basic Kit is used for various programming tasks on the workbench:
- ECU cloning: Enables cloning of data for various ECU, TCU, and BCM modules.
- Reading and writing data: Supports reading and writing EEPROM and FLASH memory in both BENCH and BOOT modes.
- ECU activation: Activates the control unit outside the vehicle to access the data.
- No soldering required: The jumper cable allows direct connections to the ECU pins, making soldering unnecessary.
