The OBDSTAR MP001 kit is a multifunctional programmer for reading, writing, and cloning data from various vehicle modules. The set is designed to operate in conjunction with OBDSTAR diagnostic tablets, such as the Key Master DP Plus, Odo Master, and Key Master 5. The MP001 supports reading EEPROM and MCU data and is suitable for cloning ECU's of cars, motorcycles, and other vehicles. Connection to the modules is established via the included P003 Adapter and various connection cables.
This programming kit offers extensive functionalities for data manipulation at the component level. It allows the user to work in Bench mode (on the workbench) or Boot mode, depending on the requirements of the specific module. The MP001 can be used for tasks such as recovering data from a damaged ECU, transferring data to a new module, and directly reading and writing chip data. This includes a wide range of systems, including engine control modules, dashboards, airbag modules, and Body Control Modules (BCM).
Application and functionality:
The MP001 kit is used for advanced data operations on electronic control units and chips in vehicles.
- ECU cloning: Reads and writes the complete data of an engine control module to transfer it to a replacement module.
