The OBDSTAR Key SIM is a 5-in-1 key simulator designed for use with OBDSTAR key programming tools, such as the X300 DP PLUS and Key Master DP PLUS. This simulator functions as a replacement key in situations where all original keys are lost (All Keys Lost), allowing the ignition to be turned on for programming a new key.
The Key SIM can emulate various transponders and smart keys, including Toyota and Lexus smart keys (models before 2018 with 94/D4, 98, 88/A8, and A9 chips) and standard 46 and 4D (94/D4) transponder chips. The device is reusable and consolidates the functionality of multiple simulation cards into one compact housing, making the purchase of different specific cards unnecessary.
Application and functionality:
The OBDSTAR Key SIM is an accessory used to simulate a working key when all keys of a vehicle are lost. This allows a technician to activate the ignition lock and access the vehicle system to learn new keys.
- Key Simulation in 'All Keys Lost': Generates a temporary key signal to activate the vehicle's ignition lock. This is necessary to start the programming procedure for new keys.
- Simulation of Toyota/Lexus smart keys: Emulates various Toyota and Lexus smart keys, including types 94/D4, 98, 88/A8, and A9 for models before 2018.
- Transponder Simulation: Can simulate signals from 46 and 4D (94/D4) transponder chips for a wide range of vehicles.
- Replacement of P001 Adapter and Cards: Combines the function of the OBDSTAR P001 adapter and the separate Toyota SIMSMART cards, simplifying the process.
- Reusability: The simulator can be reset after use and reused for other vehicles.
