\nThe OBDSTAR M006 is a adapter cable that the brand-specific Kawasaki 4+4-pins OBD connector convert to a standard 16-pin OBD2 (J1962) connector. The cable features two separate connectors on the vehicle side — one 4-pin and a second 4-pin connector— which together form the motorcycle's diagnostic connection, and one combined OBD2 connector on the device side. The adapter cable is designed for use withOBDSTAR diagnostic readers or programmers for diagnostic work on Kawasaki motorcycles.\n
\nThe two 4-pin connectors connect to the vehicle-side Kawasaki-specific diagnostic ports that are located in the motorcycle wiring harness are embedded. The cable allows you to diagnostic lines — including the K-line or other vehicle-specific communication lines — routed to the OBD2 interface from the connected OBDSTAR device. This allows the diagnostic reader to communicate with the control units of the motorcycle as if a direct OBD2 connection were present. The cable performs no signal processing of its own; the conversion is purely mechanical and electrical in nature.\n

The M006 adapter cable enables the following diagnostic functions on Kawasaki motorcycles via an OBDSTAR diagnostic scanner or programmer.
- Read and clear fault codes: Via the OBD2 connection fault codes (DTCs)read from and erased from the motorcycle's control units, after which the fault status can be reassessed.
- Display live data: Real-time sensor readings and live riding data of the engine system are displayed on the connected OBDSTAR device via the diagnostic connector.
- Read control unit: The ECU Informationfrom the motorcycle, such as software version and system parameters, is read through the adapter cable for diagnostic and identification purposes.
- Immobilizer Functions: Depending on the OBDSTAR device, key and immobilizer data are contacted for programming or diagnostic work on the anti-theft security system.
