The OBDSTAR M034 is the Harley-Davidson adapter cable with two separate branches: one featuring the 4-pin connector and one with the 6-pin Deutsch connector. Through a Y-junction, they converge on the 16-pin OBD2 (J1962) side that connects to your OBDSTAR diagnostic device.
Harley-Davidson uses a proprietary Deutsch connector instead of the standard OBD2 port, available in both 4-pin and 6-pin versions. This cable maps the pin configuration from both connectors to the corresponding pins on the J1962 port, carrying through the K-line and CAN-bus signals. The connection is passive; no active signal processing occurs.
This gives you access to the engine management and vehicle dynamics systems connected to those ports. Which specific models and functions are actually supported depends on your diagnostic device's software.
