The OBDSTAR M083 is the universal adapter cable for the 9-pin round diagnostic port found on marine and industrial diesel engines. It connects that port to the 16-pin OBD2 (J1962) connector on your OBDSTAR diagnostic device and plugs directly into the engine's diagnostic port.
The 9-pin round connector is used by multiple marine diesel engine manufacturers. Through the cable, signals such as K-line or CAN-bus are transmitted to your diagnostic reader. The pin configuration is specifically tailored for these marine applications, so no additional adapters are needed.
