\nThe OBDSTAR N043 is a adapter cable that a 6-pin BRP diagnostic connector convert to a standard 16-pin OBD2 connector (J1962). The adapter is designed for use with OBDSTAR diagnostic readers or programmers and enables diagnostic connections on BRP motorcycles that are not equipped with a standard OBD2 port. The adapter is also referred to as M043 within the OBDSTAR accessory system.\n
\nThe adapter connects the 6-pin BRP diagnostic port from the vehicle's OBD2 port to the connected OBDSTAR device. Through this connection, the diagnostic communicationdata transmitted between the vehicle system and the diagnostic reader, converting the pin configuration of the BRP connector to the corresponding pins of theJ1962 standard. The adapter doesn't process signals itself, but simply provides the physical and electrical connection between both connector types.\n

Applications and Features
The N043 adapter enables the following diagnostic applications when used with compatible OBDSTAR equipment on BRP motorcycles:
- Read and clear fault codes: Through the connection, stored diagnostic trouble codes from the vehicle's ECU system are retrieved and cleared after the fault is resolved.
- Live data display: Sensor readings and ride parameters are read in real-time and displayed on the connected OBDSTAR device for diagnostic purposes.
- Engine management system diagnosis: The engine control system of BRP motorcycles is accessed via the 6-pin diagnostic port, converted to the OBD2 interface of the diagnostic system.
