The OBDSTAR TCM-010 is an adapter cable featuring a 12-pin connector on the vehicle side and a 15-pin DB15 connector on the device side. The 12-pin connector plugs directly into the Getrag VGS2-FDCT or VGS-FDCT transmission control module, which is mounted on the transmission itself and is typically accessible through the engine bay.

The VGS-FDCT family controls the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) found in certain Mercedes-Benz and Infiniti passenger vehicles. The unit has its own 12-pin connector, allowing you to access the control module at the hardware level, bypassing the OBD2 port and vehicle network. This direct connection ensures stable signal transmission, which is essential for TCM programming and reading transmission-specific data. No additional power supply beyond the connected diagnostic device is required.

This cable provides access exclusively to the transmission control module; you cannot reach engine management or other modules with it. Whether programming, reading, and pairing a replacement unit actually succeeds depends on your OBDSTAR device's software and licensing. The cable itself does not add any vehicle coverage.
