The OBDSTAR Converter V2 is an interface adapter that sits between the main OBD2 cable of your OBDSTAR device and the 16-pin OBD2 diagnostic connector (J1962) on the vehicle. On the vehicle side, the adapter plugs directly into the J1962-connector; on the device side, your existing main cable connects to it.

The adapter exists because certain vehicle modules require non-standard pin configuration during key and immobiliser procedures. The Converter V2 remaps that pin configuration, allowing the OBDSTAR software to communicate with the relevant module. The housing is marked Converter V2, identifying this second-generation adapter. The adapter only establishes the correct signal connection.
