The OBDSTAR M000A is a 16-pin OBD2 extension cable measuring 400 cm. One end features a male OBD2 connector that plugs into the vehicle's diagnostic port; the other end has a female OBD2 connector where you attach your diagnostic tool's main cable.
The cable bridges distance by passing all 16 pins straight through, one-to-one. This ensures both power lines and communication buses — including CAN and K-line — flow uninterrupted. No configuration or setup is required; the cable simply sits between the two connections. The extension does not alter communication itself. It unlocks no additional systems and adds no vehicle coverage; what you can read out or programme remains determined by your own diagnostic device.

- All systems on the OBD2 port: The cable carries all 16 pins through, so the same control modules remain accessible as with direct connection.
- Power supply lines: The voltage from the OBD2 port flows undiminished through to the main cable and device.
What you can do
- Bridge distance: Create four metres between vehicle and device, allowing you to work outside the cabin.
- Programme keys remotely: Keep the key at the device whilst the vehicle remains connected during IMMO procedures.
- ECU programming outside the vehicle: Place your laptop or tablet on a stable work surface during flash or coding work.
- Take measurements: Keep the device in a fixed location whilst you measure at the vehicle.
- Important: The cable extends only; all functionality remains dependent on your own OBDSTAR device.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The determining factor is the 16-pin OBD2 port, not the make or model. The source lists no makes or model years: the cable is an extension between the standard OBD2 connector and the main cable of the diagnostic device.
