The OBDSTAR Toyota-30 V2 Kit is a cable set for key programming on newer Toyota vehicles equipped with smart key-systems. The kit includes a Toyota-30 V2 cable and a CAN DIRECT cable, which access the smart key box signal directly through the OBD port. This eliminates the need to cut or pierce vehicle wiring during key operations. The kit supports both 4A-type and 8A-BA-type smart key boxes.
When connected, the CAN DIRECT cable establishes a direct connection to the vehicle's smart key box, while the Toyota-30 V2 cable handles communication with the OBDSTAR diagnostic tool. Through this connection, the tool can perform proximity key programming without a PIN code, and the proximity all key lost function works in combination with the KeySim-simulator. Communication takes place via the standard OBD connector, keeping all communication cables in the vehicle intact.
