The Launch X-431 Key Programmer is an advanced accessory designed for vehicle diagnostics and car key programming. This module enables diagnostic technicians to read, generate, and simulate various types of immobilizer transponders. The device offers hardware support for a wide range of chip protocols, including 8A, 4D, 4A, 46, 47, 48, 49, as well as the VAG-specific MQB48 and MQB49 transponders. Thanks to its compact form factor, built-in antenna recess, and direct USB-C connection, this programming module is effectively used as an extension for compatible Launch diagnostic equipment to perform complex key learning procedures.
The hardware communicates directly with the Launch diagnostic software via the supplied data cable or the USB-C to USB-A Adapter. Once the programmer is connected, the technician can read blank transponders and clone or simulate original NXP immobilizer transponders through the diagnostic tablet interface. The system supports both wireless programming for smart keys and wired data transfer for specific older generations of remote controls. The supplied reprogrammable remote controls (including the LS4, LN3, LE3, and LE4) can be configured directly to function as fully functional replacement proxy keys or standard remote controls within the more than 2000 supported vehicle models.

- Super Chip Configuration: Offers the ability to overwrite the included universal 'Super Chip' with the required protocol, ideal for cloning transponders from older vehicles where a full remote control is not needed.
