For Tata-Daewoo vehicles with a non-standard wired 16-pin diagnostic connector, the Jaltest JDCOBD3 serves as the adapter to the 16-pin OBD2 diagnostic cable of the Jaltest Link. The unit measures 8.7 cm and comprises a sealed, screwed plastic housing with a 16-pin OBD2 connector with pins on the front; the diagnostic cable connects to the rear. The white label bears the designation JDCOBD3 written as one word, whilst the Hyundai version displays JDC OBD2 with a space.
In these vehicles, the diagnostic lines are positioned on different pins than the OBD2 standard specifies; the connector may fit physically, but no communication is established. The converter remaps the lines to the standardised positions, enabling the Jaltest Link to reach the control units behind that connector. You can then read fault codes, monitor live data and perform actuator tests. The adapter is specified for Link V8.1 and V9 and falls under the Jaltest CV module (commercial vehicles).

The communication content remains unchanged; only the location of the diagnostic lines in the connector changes. What appears on screen depends on the Jaltest coverage for that vehicle.
