The Jaltest JDC100 is the extension cable between the 26-pin DB26 connector of the Jaltest Link V9 and the vehicle-specific diagnostic cable. On the interface side there is a black female DB26 connector with three rows of contacts and two threaded pins; on the cable side there is a right-angled black male DB26 plug with a chrome-plated frame and two cross-head screws. Between them runs 100 cm of round black cable.
Close to the interface end, a short branch leads to a black jack connector, which lets you power the Link externally when the diagnostic connector itself does not supply power. The cable gives you extra working space around the vehicle and is the link that a number of Jaltest diagnostic cables require, because they do not fit directly to the Link V9. The JDC100B is the same cable in 250 cm. The extension cable can be used with all Jaltest modules.

Applications and functions
The extension cable sits between the Jaltest Link V9 and the vehicle-specific diagnostic cable. What you can achieve depends on the diagnostic cable you connect behind it.
What the cable does
- Extends: 100 cm extra between Link and cable.

- External power: Power the Link via the jack connector.

How to use it
- Place the Link V9: Set the Jaltest Link V9 down at the workstation.
- Interface side: Screw the female DB26 onto the Link V9.
- Diagnostic cable: Screw the vehicle-specific cable onto the male DB26.
- Power: Connect external power to the jack connector if required.
- Reading: Connect the diagnostic cable to the vehicle and start Jaltest.
