The Jaltest JDC601A connects the proprietary 3-pin diagnostic connector of Yamaha personal watercraft with the 16-pin OBD2 input of your Jaltest diagnostic cable. On the engine side is a grey rectangular waterproof plug with three chambers in a black strain relief. The cable is 28 to 30 cm long and the connector is located in the engine compartment.
With the cable connected, the Jaltest software reaches the ECM EFI, the engine management unit, and the RiDE SCU, the control unit for the braking and reverse system. On the engine management unit you can read fault codes and measured values, activate components and set parameters; on the RiDE SCU you get fault codes, calibration and live data. The cable works with the Jaltest Link V8.1 and V9 and falls under Jaltest Marine.

Applications and functionality
The cable is intended for workshops that read Yamaha personal watercraft with the Jaltest Link. The units and functions below come from Jaltest's Marine coverage. The difference between the two units determines what you can and cannot handle.
Control units you can access

How to use it
- Locate the plug: Find the 3-pin connector in the engine compartment.
- Connect: Insert the JDC601A into the grey plug.
- Link pairing: Connect the OBD2 end to the Jaltest Link.
- Start the software: Open Jaltest Marine on the PC.
- Read out: Select Yamaha, the series and the control unit.

The plug determines compatibility, not the model. The cable fits any Yamaha personal watercraft with the 3-pin diagnostic connector. The series below are within Jaltest Marine coverage; you can check which plug is fitted on your craft in the engine compartment.
