The Jaltest JDC601A connects the manufacturer-specific 3-pin diagnostic connector of Yamaha jet skis to the 16-pin OBD2 port of your Jaltest diagnostic cable. On the engine side sits a grey rectangular waterproof connector with three chambers in a black strain relief; on the interface side the flat black OBD2 connector bearing the Jaltest marking. The cable measures 28 to 30 cm in length and the connector is located in the engine compartment of the jet ski.
Once connected, the Jaltest software reaches the ECM EFI, the engine control unit of the jet ski, and the RiDE SCU, the control module for the braking and reverse system. On the engine control unit you read fault codes and live data, command components and adjust parameters; on the RiDE SCU you access fault codes, calibration and live data. Cojali releases the cable for Jaltest Link V8.1 and V9, allowing both interface generations to use it. The cable falls under Jaltest Marine.

Applications and functionality
Via this connection you can access the Jaltest software the control units of the Yamaha jet ski. The followingunits and functions come from the Marine cover by Jaltest. The difference determines what you can and cannot access on board.
Control units you can reach
- ECM EFI — engine management:The jet ski's engine control module, including fault codes, live data, measured values, component actuation and parameters.
- RiDE SCU — braking and reverse system:The control unit for the RiDE operating system, with fault codes, calibration and live data.
What you can do
- Read fault codes:Access the fault memory of the engine management and RiDE SCU, with descriptions of detected faults.
- View measured values:The current sensor readings from engine management — this function is not available on the RiDE SCU.
- Actuate components:Control engine management actuators directly.
- Adjust parameters:Configure engine management settings.
- Calibration:Available only on the RiDE SCU, the braking and reverse system control unit.
- Monitor live data:Track values from both control units in real time.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The connector type determines compatibility, not the model.This cable fits any Yamaha jet ski with the 3-pin diagnostic connector. Jet skis have never been subject to a standardised connector requirement, which means this connector remains compatible with recent models. The model ranges listed below are covered by Jaltest Marine — you can identify which connector is fitted to your vessel by checking the engine compartment.
