The Jaltest JDC570A connects the 19-pin diagnostic connector of Deutz engines to the 16-pin OBD2 port of your Jaltest diagnostic cable. On the engine side there is a round metal plug with a ribbed coupling ring and male pins in a black housing; just behind the housing block, the sleeve carries a turquoise marker ring. The connector is on or next to the engine block.
Once connected, the Jaltest software reaches the engine control unit of the block: EMR2 (EDC), EMR4 (EDC 17 CV52 and CV54) and EMR5 (EDC MD1 CC878). For EMR4 and EMR5, the maintenance intervals are also covered, and for some EMR4 engines also additional actions. Because Deutz supplies its engines as stand-alone power units, the cable remains usable across various machine brands. The cable is covered by Jaltest OHW.

Applications and functionality
This cable is intended for workshops that read out Deutz engines in machines, power units and implements. Jaltest distinguishes the successive EMR generations, each with its own range of functions.
Control units you can access
- EMR2 (EDC): Engine control, no maintenance.
- EMR4 (EDC 17 CV52/CV54): Common rail, with maintenance.
- EMR5 (EDC MD1 CC878): Common rail, with maintenance.

- Maintenance: On EMR4 and EMR5, not on EMR2.

How to use it
- Locating the connector: Find the round 19-pin plug at the block.
- Connecting: Secure the JDC570A with the coupling ring.
- Link pairing: Connect the OBD2 side to the Jaltest Link.
- Ignition on: Switch the ignition on.
- Reading out: Select Deutz and the engine series in Jaltest OHW.
Compatible engines and applications
What matters is the plug on the engine, not the make of the machine. Deutz supplies its engines as stand-alone power units, so the engine series determines which cable you need. This cable fits any Deutz engine with the round 19-pin diagnostic connector. Jaltest OHW covers the engine series listed below.
Deutz:
- TCD series: TCD 2.2, 2.9, 3.6, 4.1, 5.1, 5.2, 6.1, 7.7, 7.8, 9.0, 10.7, 12.0, 12.8, 13.5, 15.6, 16.0 and 18.0, plus TTCD 5.1 and TTCD 7.7.
- 2012 and 2013 series: BF4M 2012, BF6M 2012C, BF4M 2013, BF6M 2013, BFM 2013 and TCD 2012 L04/L06 and TCD 2013 L04/L06.
- 1015 series: BF6M 1015 C and BF8M 1015 CP.
- D, TD and G series: D 2.9, TD 2.2, TD 2.9, TD 3.6, G 2.2 and G 2.9.
- Applications: Construction and off-road machines, lifting and hoisting equipment, agricultural machines, power units and stationary installations with a Deutz engine.
