The Jaltest JDC569.9 connects the 4-pin diagnostic connector of the Curtis power module directly to the 26-pin DB26 input of the Jaltest Link; no separate 16-pin diagnostic cable is needed. Halfway along the cable is a sealed black box containing electronics, the 4-pin connector sits in a black locking housing, and next to the CE label on the cable is a label reading 12/24 V ONLY.
When connected with the cable, the Jaltest software accesses the Curtis power module, which Jaltest lists in its coverage as a Power module (CPM) per series: 1212, 1220, 1228, 1230, 1232, 1236 and 1243. You can read fault codes, measured values and live data; for the 1212, 1232 and 1236 you can also set parameters, but not for the 1243. The cable falls under Jaltest MHE (Material Handling Equipment).

Applications and functionality
The cable is intended for workshops that service electric forklifts, warehouse trucks and aerial work platforms with a Curtis power module. Each controller series is listed separately in the coverage; the functions you get depend on the series.

How to use it
- Locating the connector: Find the 4-pin connector on the Curtis controller in the electrical compartment.
- Connecting: Insert the connector into the black locking housing on the connection.
- Connecting the Link: Insert the DB26 end directly into the Jaltest Link.
- Machine on: Switch the machine on with the key switch.
- Reading out: In Jaltest MHE, select the Curtis module and the series.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The controller determines compatibility, not the machine brand. The cable fits any electrically powered machine with a Curtis power module that has the 4-pin diagnostic connector in the black locking housing. Check the plug on your controller on site.

Difference from the JDC566.9
The JDC569.9 and the JDC566.9 have the same connectors at both ends; what lies between them differs.
- JDC569.9: Sealed box with electronics in the cable, marking 12/24 V ONLY, connector in a black locking housing.
- JDC566.9: Passive adapter cable of 30 cm with a separate white 4-pin connector.
