The Jaltest JDC569.9 is the adapter cable connecting the 4-pin diagnostic connector of the Curtis power module to the 26-pin DB26 port on the Jaltest Link. On the equipment side, the 4-pin connector attaches to the Curtis controller; on the interface side, the cable connects directly into the DB26 port of the Link without requiring an additional 16-pin diagnostic cable. The cable is identifiable by its distinctive construction: midway along its length sits a sealed black enclosure containing electronics, the 4-pin connector is housed in a black locking connector body, and the cable bears a label reading 12/24 V ONLY alongside the CE marking. The cable is officially designated as Curtis diagnostic cable.
Unlike the JDC566.9, which carries the same description but is a simple pass-through connection, this cable routes the signal through the sealed enclosure. This enables the diagnostic equipment to access the Curtis power module, which Jaltest lists as a Power module (CPM) and covers by individual series: 1212, 1220, 1228, 1230, 1232, 1236 and 1243. The feature set varies by series: the 1243 lacks parameter configuration capability, whilst the 1212, 1232 and 1236 include it. The cable falls under Jaltest MHE (Material Handling Equipment).
KEY BENEFITS
IMPORTANT NOTES
Applications and functionality
Using this connection, you access the Curtis power module of the machine with Jaltest software. Each controller series is covered separately.
Control units you can access
- Power module (CPM): The designation under which Jaltest lists the Curtis power module, including fault codes, measured values, live data and module information.
- Curtis 1212, 1220, 1228 and 1230: The lighter controller series.
- Curtis 1232, 1236 and 1243: The heavier series; the 1243 has a different function set.
What you can do
- Read and clear fault codes: Access and clear the fault memory of the power module after repair.
- View measured values: The current readings from the controller's sensors and inputs.
- Configure parameters: For the series where Jaltest offers this function.
- Live data monitoring: Monitor the controller values during operation in numerical and graphical format.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The controller type determines compatibility, not the machine brand. This cable fits any electrically powered machine with a Curtis power module featuring the 4-pins diagnostic connection. The series listed below are covered by Jaltest MHE; check on site which connector is fitted to your controller.
Difference from the JDC566.9
The JDC569.9 and JDC566.9 carry the same description in Jaltest documentation and are identical at both ends: machine side features a 4-pins Curtis connector, interface side the 26-pins DB26 from the Link. What differs is what's in between. The JDC566.9 is a passive adapter cable of 30 cm with a loose white 4-pin connector and nothing else. The JDC569.9 has a sealed enclosure with electronics halfway along, bears the marking 12/24 V ONLY and features the connector in a black locking housing. This enclosure makes this cable more than a simple pass-through connection and is the difference between the two. Place both versions next to the connection on your controller to see which one fits.
Application:
- Electric forklifts, warehouse trucks and boom lifts with a Curtis power module
- Curtis series covered by Jaltest: 1212, 1220, 1228, 1230, 1232, 1236 and 1243
- Build year not decisive: Internal transport vehicles have no mandatory diagnostic connection requirement
