The Jaltest JDC545A connects the 14-pin diagnostic connector of Doosan earthmoving equipment to the 16-pin OBD2 port on your Jaltest diagnostic cable. On the machine side, there is a round black plastic connector with a ribbed coupling ring, bayonet lugs around the edge and male pins in a black housing. The location of this connector on the machine varies by model: behind the operator's seat, on the engine block or at the rear of the engine. The cable measures 28 to 30 cm and carries the black housing block containing the OBD2 coupling halfway along its length.

Once the connection is established, the Jaltest software reaches E-EPOS, the central machine computer that controls the interaction between engine and hydraulics, the engine control units EMS XPI and DL06/DL08 and the aftertreatment control units EEC and EEC3. The difference lies in the depth of coverage: maintenance data are available for the engine and aftertreatment control units but not for E-EPOS, and additional functions only for the EMS XPI engine control unit. The cable is part of the Jaltest Link V8.1 and falls under Jaltest OHW (construction and earthmoving equipment).

IMPORTANT NOTES

With E-EPOS maintenance data is not included in coverage; this is found in the engine and aftertreatment management systems.
Additional functions are available only with the EMS XPI engine management system, not with the DL06/DL08 variant.
For the round 14-pin machine connector of Doosan only; the 6-pin connection on a standalone Doosan DL03 engine uses the JDC547A.
This variant is compatible with Jaltest Link V8.1 and not with V9.

Applications and functions

Using this connection, you access with Jaltest software the machine control unit, the engine management and the exhaust aftertreatment of the Doosan machine. Which units are present varies by series and configuration. The units listed below are covered by Doosan coverage.

Control units you can access

  • E-EPOS, machine computer: The central computer that coordinates engine and hydraulics, with fault codes, measured values and ECU data.
  • EMS XPI, engine control with common rail injection: The configuration with very high injection pressure, including additional functions.
  • DL06/DL08 (CAN), engine control: The engine control of the Tier 4 and Stage IV configurations.
  • EEC, exhaust aftertreatment: The control of SCR aftertreatment with AdBlue.
  • EEC3, exhaust aftertreatment: The newer generation aftertreatment control.

What you can do

  • Read and clear fault codes: Access the fault memory of the control unit, with descriptions of detected faults.
  • View measured values: The current readings from sensors connected to the control unit, displayed as figures and graphs.
  • Consult maintenance data: Available for engine and aftertreatment controls; not available for E-EPOS.
  • Perform additional functions: Available with EMS XPI engine control.

Compatible vehicles and applications

The connector type determines compatibility, not the model. This cable fits any Doosan machine with the round 14-pin diagnostic connector. Construction equipment has never been subject to mandatory OBD connection requirements, which means the same connector is found across multiple machine generations. The series listed below are covered by Jaltest OHW support.

Useful to know: The connector location varies by model — it may be found behind the driver's seat, on the engine block, or at the rear of the engine. You can identify it by the round socket with bayonet coupling and fourteen pin positions. The six-pin connector on a separate Doosan DL03 engine looks different and is covered by the JDC547A. Check the machine itself to confirm which connector is fitted before ordering.
