The Jaltest JDC307A connects the 9-pin Mate N-Lock plug of the ZF Ecomat 4 bus gearbox to the 16-pin OBD2 port for the Jaltest Link diagnostic cable. The plug on the gearbox side is cream-white, has three rows of three round positions, all nine of which are in use, and is secured with a white locking bracket. The cable is 28 to 30 cm long.
Behind the plug is the transmission control that Jaltest covers as Ecomat 2/4. With the connection you can access the fault memory, measured values and configuration. Besides reading out, component actuation and parameter setting are also included in the coverage. The Ecomat is the generation before the EcoLife and was supplied as the Ecomat I, II and IV with four, five and six gears. The cable works with the Jaltest Link V8.1 and V9 and falls under Jaltest CV.

The cable is intended for reading out the ZF Ecomat transmission in older buses. Jaltest groups the ZF gearboxes under one coverage group; within that group each gearbox generation has its own plug.

Compatible vehicles and applications
The plug is decisive, not the bus brand. The cable fits any bus whose ZF Ecomat gearbox has the 9-pin Mate N-Lock connection. To see which version is in your bus, check the plug on the gearbox and not the body's type plate.
ZF Ecomat:
- Ecomat I, II and IV: With four, five and six gears.
- Mate N-Lock version: Cream-white 9-pin plug on the gearbox.
Bus make:
- Not decisive: The cable follows the ZF control unit.
- Also alongside an OBD port: The gearbox has its own diagnostic plug.
