The Jaltest JDC302A is the diagnostic cable for connecting the 9-pin ABS connector of Volvo bus chassis to the Jaltest Link. On the vehicle side, there is a white rectangular connector with nine positions arranged in three rows of three, housed in black overmoulding; four positions are fitted with pin contacts, and the five remaining positions are sealed with yellow blanking plugs. On the other end is a black 16-pin OBD2 connector with the reference JDC302A moulded into the housing, connected by a short black cable. Difference from the sister cable: This cable connects to the ABS brake electronics; the visually similar JDC301A connects to the suspension control ECS.
The cable opens the diagnostic line to the brake electronics of the bus chassis. This gives the diagnostic equipment access to the anti-lock braking system ABS and to the electronic brake management systems EBS 2.X, EBS 5, EBS 5 VOLVO/RVI and EBS Gen 2. Because the connection point is on the chassis, the bodywork manufacturer that built the bus is not a determining factor. From Euro IV onwards (October 2005), buses were fitted with the standardised 16-pin OBD connector; if your bus is Euro IV or newer, you will not need this cable. The cable falls under Jaltest CV (commercial vehicles).

- Activate components: Directly trigger components to determine whether the fault lies with the component itself or in the wiring.
- Configure parameters: Write configurations and settings to the control unit.
- Perform calibrations: For systems where Jaltest offers a calibration procedure, for example after component replacement.
