\nThe Jaltest JDC110A connects as T-connector in the 7-pin ISO 7638-1 connectionbetween towing vehicle and trailer. In the photo, that's one black, round housing: on one side around connector with pins, on the other side the correspondinground opening with a raised ridge, so the existing connection simply continues uninterrupted. At right angles to this, a short cable with a CE marking the housing; that cable terminates in a 16-pin OBD2 connector. With 22 to 29 cm you work right next to the coupling at the front of the trailer.\n
\nVia this adapter, the diagnostic equipment connects to the CAN line that runs along the ISO 7638-1 connection, and thereby with the ABS/EBS trailer, for which this connection is the standardised power and data route. Because the connection is standardised, you are not tied to a single chassis builder connected; which additional units are on the network varies depending on the trailer. This configuration is specified for 24V in accordance with ISO 7638-1 and for the Jaltest Link V8.1 and V9; the 12V version according toISO 7638-2 carries its own number JDC110B. The cable is included with Jaltest CV (commercial vehicles).\n
